Business Applications Specialist to support and enhance its business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong IT systems administration background and a passion for optimizing enterprise applications in a fast-paced retail environment.
Job Description As a Business Applications Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the client’s business applications landscape. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, configure and maintain applications, and ensure seamless system integration. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide Level 1 support for business-critical platforms (NetSuite, HighJump/Warehouse Edge, Celigo, Shopify).
- Act as a liaison between business teams (finance, accounting, etc.) and external vendors to validate solutions and support testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Customize and configure applications to meet specific workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions and create user guides for application usage.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and workflows.
- Participate in testing, upgrades, and quality assurance activities.
- Enforce data integrity, security protocols, and segregation of duties.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure optimal system performance.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Experience working as a NetSuite administrator (individually or as part of a team)
- Shopify experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Celigo, SPS Commerce, Koerber, Warehouse Edge/HighJump would be a plus
- Experience working in a systems support function (Tier 2 escalation or above) strongly preferred
Experience partnering/communicating with business stakeholders in a for-profit company - Experience effectively translating business requirements into technical IT requirements
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a retail or apparel industry setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with Azure services (Functions, Pipelines).
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages.
- Experience working with cross-functional business teams.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
