Job Title: Patient Service Representative (Part-Time)

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our client to support high-volume patient inquiries and deliver a smooth, informed experience for callers seeking assistance. This role focuses on handling inbound calls, guiding patients and healthcare partners through next steps, and ensuring accurate documentation across internal systems. The ideal candidate brings a calm, patient-focused approach while juggling multiple requests in a remote environment. This opportunity offers a pathway to grow into a long-term position while contributing to a mission-driven support team.

Compensation:
$20/hour

Work Schedule:
25 hours per week
5 days per week, 5-hour shifts between 9 AM–6 PM AZ time

Key Responsibilities of the Patient Service Representative:

Deliver exceptional first-call support by answering inbound inquiries, addressing questions, resolving concerns, and connecting callers with the right department when needed.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation by entering referral details, updating records, processing emails/faxes, and maintaining compliance with relevant healthcare requirements.

Collaborate across internal teams to route information, clarify patient needs, and support smooth workflows between departments involved in referrals and intake.

Manage follow-up communication by placing outbound calls to gather missing details, update patients on their status, and ensure satisfaction throughout the referral process.

Maintain service standards by de-escalating challenging situations, balancing heavy call volumes, and meeting performance expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Skills for the Patient Service Representative:

A background in customer support, medical office coordination, or call center operations, with at least 1 year of inbound/outbound calling experience preferred.

Comfort using multiple computer applications, including email, data entry tools, Microsoft Office programs, and internal call/support platforms.

Strong communication skills with the ability to stay composed under pressure, actively listen, and convey information in a positive and professional manner.

Detail-driven and organized, with the ability to follow issues to resolution while working independently in a remote, secure home office environment with reliable high-speed internet.

A patient-focused mindset, flexibility to work weekends/holidays as needed, and a commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA-compliant practices.
