Job Description

The General Manager (GM) holds the pivotal leadership position, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the property's operations to ensure both financial success and the delivery of an exceptional, five-star guest experience. The role demands a dynamic, results-driven professional with a proven track record in luxury hospitality management, capable of balancing operational excellence with strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Financial Acumen:   Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies to drive revenue growth, optimize profitability, and manage budgets effectively. Analyze market trends and financial reports to make data-driven decisions and adjust business plans as needed.
  • Operational Excellence:   Oversee the day-to-day operations of all departments, including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Sales & Marketing, and Maintenance, ensuring compliance with brand standards and all health, safety, and security regulations. Conduct regular property inspections to maintain impeccable physical standards.
  • Guest Satisfaction & Brand Reputation:   Ensure consistent delivery of personalized, luxury service that creates memorable guest experiences and fosters loyalty. Promptly and proactively address guest concerns, monitor feedback systems, and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and protect the hotel's prestigious reputation.
  • Talent Management & Development:   Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of department heads and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee all human resource functions, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management to ensure high employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Stakeholder Relations:   Act as the primary liaison between property operations and ownership/management company representatives, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with organizational goals. Maintain an appropriate level of community and public affairs involvement to enhance the hotel's local presence.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in a general manager or senior leadership role within the luxury or high-end hotel industry.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and revenue optimization.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders (guests, staff, vendors, and owners).
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and crisis management skills, with the capacity to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a 24/7 operational environment.
