Job Description

We are seeking a remote attorney to support our expanding Intellectual Property and Business Law practice areas. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and self-motivated attorney who enjoys handling registrations, correspondence, and transactional drafting for a diverse creative and business-minded clientele. You will work closely with the Managing Attorney to manage intellectual property filings, issue cease and desist letters, and draft limited demand letters related to publicity rights and related IP matters. The role will also involve reviewing and drafting business contracts and other transactional agreements. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file trademark and copyright applications with the USPTO and U.S. Copyright Office.
• Conduct clearance searches, analyze potential conflicts, and advise on registration strategies.
• Draft and respond to cease and desist letters, limited demand letters involving publicity rights or related IP issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate business and entertainment contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, licensing agreements, and production-related documents.
• Maintain organized, timely updates on client matters in the firm’s case management system (MyCase).
• Collaborate with the Managing Attorney to ensure quality and compliance with firm standards.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Georgia license preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in intellectual property and/or entertainment or business transactional law.
• Experience with trademark and copyright registration processes required.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
