Union Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Escort I to transport patients to appropriate hospital areas via stretcher wheelchair beds and specialized vehicles to/from patient care and clinical service areas as directed by dispatchers or schedulers.
The hours for this position are 7:00am-3:30pm; and requires working every other weekend and a holiday rotation.
*Please note this position is part-time working 32 hours weekly*

What Youll Do:
As a Patient Escort youll play a vital role in patient care by:
Safely transporting patients via wheelchair stretcher or bed to various hospital departments.
Assisting clinical staff with patient transfers.
Supporting the maintenance and readiness of transport equipment.
Upholding safety standards and ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.
What Were Looking For:
High school diploma preferred.
Prior customer service experience (2 years preferred).
Ability to obtain BLS certification upon hire.
Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented attitude.
Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods and handle equipment safely.

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
