**Overview** **Position Summary:** The School Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the school premises. This includes classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas. The role ensures that students, staff, and visitors experience a well-maintained facility that supports learning and safety. **Pay:** $20.00 an hour The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members ( | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) **Key Responsibilities:** **Daily Cleaning Duties:** + Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust classrooms, hallways, and offices. + Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and empty trash receptacles. + Maintain cleanliness in cafeterias, gyms, and other common areas. **Safety & Compliance:** + Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. + Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repairs needed. **Event & Seasonal Support:** + Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities. + Perform deep cleaning during school breaks and summer months. **Equipment & Supplies:** + Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning tools and machines. + Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed. **Qualifications:** + Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and basic maintenance. + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks. A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
