Job Description

Aristotle is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to work full-time on a greenfield project.

Responsibilities:

• Help design and implement a brand-new project for managing multiple sites in WordPress, in a multi-site configuration.
• Develop plugins and themes from scratch with best practices in mind.
• Ensure that performance is optimal, and the application is robust and scalable.
• Consume REST APIs with JWT authentication from WordPress plugins.
• Ability to train other team members in WordPress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Seniority in front-end technologies, including but not limited to HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Strong knowledge of PHP development.
• Expert in building both themes and plugins from scratch.
• Highly experienced in WordPress and its infrastructure, knowing and implementing security best practices.
• GIT experience is required.
• Azure DevOps knowledge is preferred.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices.
• Solid knowledge of WordPress hooks and API system.
• Experience overwriting WordPress authentication mechanism to use an external Identity Provider.
• Experience building SSO using SAML.
• High-quality code delivery is a must.
• Experience consuming REST APIs from WordPress custom plugins is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• A proactive attitude is expected.
• Experience working in small teams.
