Job Summary
Title: Training Coordinator

Full-Time/M-F, some evenings and weekends required.

This is a remote position and candidates must be located in Tennessee or surrounding areas.

Salary range: $45,000-50,000

Position Summary:

The Training Coordinator position is a full-time, exempt role funded through 2027. The Training Coordinator reports directly to the Program Manager of the Tennessee Community Health Worker Association.

The Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering the CHW training curriculum, supporting trainees through hybrid learning, and collaborating with site supervisors to monitor trainee progress at field placement sites. The curriculum is competency-based and includes topics such as active listening, ethics, and trauma-informed care.

Key Duties:

● Deliver curriculum and training in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner using adult education methods.

● Assist the Program Manager with developing course calendars and enhancing curriculum materials.

● Conduct regular meetings with trainees to monitor progress, provide support, and encourage engagement.

● Coordinate training schedules and field placement opportunities for new and existing CHW trainees.

● Conduct site visits to monitor field placement progress.

● Support continuous quality improvement efforts related to the curriculum and training program.

● Assist with trainee recruitment, engagement, and retention.

● Manage training data and assist with reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

● At least five years of experience working as a Community Health Worker or in a related role.

● Strong facilitation skills (in-person and virtual) and ability to teach using popular/adult education strategies.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

● Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

● Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual learning platforms.

● Experience documenting program data using online systems.

● Ability to travel and lead in-person training sessions

Position Benefits

● Paid Time Off (PTO):

o 0–2 years of employment: 18 days annually, accrued per pay period.

o PTO increases with tenure up to a maximum of 32 days per year.
