Job Description
**Role Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled **AMR/AGV Architect** to design and implement advanced autonomous mobile robot (AMR) and automated guided vehicle (AGV) systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in robotics architecture, motion control, safety standards, and integration with industrial systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead the design of comprehensive hardware, software, and controls architecture for AMR/AGV fleets.
+ Translate operational requirements into scalable, modular technical specifications and architectures.
+ Establish common technical specifications, interface control documents, and validation plans.
+ Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external suppliers to develop core platform systems.
+ Drive decisions on key components, system interfaces, and future technology upgrades.
+ Define and enforce functional safety architecture per ISO 3691-4 and ISO 13849 standards.
+ Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving hardware, software, and environmental interactions.
+ Analyze sensor data and system performance to optimize operations and predict maintenance needs.
+ Ensure rigorous testing, simulation, and commissioning for reliability and safety.
+ Conduct site workshops, assist with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), user training, and hyper-care support.
+ Act as liaison between engineering disciplines and manufacturing/logistics operations.
**Mandatory Skills**
+ Expertise in system architecture design, motion control, power management, and perception systems.
+ Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, Java), simulation tools, and AI/ML concepts for navigation.
+ Experience integrating mobile robots with WMS, industrial controls, and communication protocols (OPC UA, CAN, EtherCAT).
+ Strong knowledge of functional safety standards and regulatory compliance.
**Preferred Skills**
+ Excellent communication and documentation skills.
+ Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
+ Adaptability to emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
**Experience Required**
+ **10+ years** in robotics architecture and industrial automation.
+ Proven track record of leading AMR/AGV system design and deployment projects.
