The Cardiac Sonographer position requires a skilled professional to perform echocardiograms in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves working a 0730-1800 shift and participating in an on-call schedule, including potential weekend coverage. The sonographer will work with adult patients in acute care, outpatient, ER, and ICU environments, utilizing various echo techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Perform adult echocardiograms, including 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies, Routine, and Treadmill Stress Echo.
- Adhere to isolation precautions.
- Collect and record patient data.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Answer phone calls and direct them accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
- Notify appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Assist nurse in emergency situations.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Echo Tech.
- Experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ER, and ICU settings.
- Proficiency in 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies, Routine, and Treadmill Stress Echo.
- Knowledge of Isolation Precautions.
- ARDMS or CCI certification preferred.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Philips equipment experience.
- Cerner charting experience.
Special Considerations:
- On-call requirement: 4-5 days per 6-week schedule, with one of those days being a weekend day.
- Clinician will not float outside of scope to meet facility needs.
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
- The client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without paying for the canceled hours.
Scheduling:
- Shift: 0730-1800.
- Block scheduling is potentially available but not guaranteed.
