Hotel Night Auditor

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Night Auditor to join our team at AC & Element Miami Dt hotel. The Night Auditor will be responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during the night shift, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience while also managing financial reporting and reconciliation of the hotel’s daily transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services:
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests during check-in and check-out processes.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a welcoming and professional demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.

Financial Reporting:
- Perform nightly financial reconciliation, including verifying all posting transactions, balancing cash registers and preparing the daily revenue report.
- Review and post charges to guest accounts in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Prepare and audit financial statements and reports, reporting discrepancies to management.

Front Desk Operations:
- Manage the front desk operations, maintaining a smooth flow of check-ins and check-outs, and responding to phone calls and emails as necessary.
- Ensure guest information is accurately recorded in the hotel management system.
- Handle the nightly audit process, which includes balancing accounts and ensuring compliance with hotel policies.

Safety & Security:
- Ensure the security and safety of the hotel premises and its guests during the night hours.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and respond to any suspicious activities or emergencies as needed.

Collaboration:

- Communicate effectively with day shift staff regarding any issues or events that occurred during the night.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that guest expectations are met and maintain a seamless operation.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk or accounting role preferred.
- Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.(LightSpeed - Marriott system a plus)
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
