Job Description
Join UPMC Hamot as a Parking Attendant and be the first friendly face our patients and visitors see! This full-time role offers you the chance to make a lasting impression while supporting the daily operations of our hospital's parking services. Whether you're safely handling vehicles, directing traffic, or providing warm welcomes, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive and professional experience for everyone arriving at our facility.
We're seeking individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, and bring strong communication and customer service skills. You'll have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a dedicated team, ensuring that every vehicle and guest is treated with care and efficiency. Shifts range between 9 AM - 9 PM (mid-shift, daylight/evening) with options for either four 10-hour or five 8-hour schedules following training. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. In this role, there is opportunity to -
+ Greet patients and visitors with courtesy and professionalism upon arrival and departure.
+ Operate vehicles entrusted to valet services safely and responsibly at all times.
+ Assist with traffic flow and parking management in designated valet and garage areas.
+ Follow departmental procedures for radio communication, key storage, and vehicle tagging.
+ Respond quickly to valet calls and supervisor directions, maintaining urgency during peak hours.
+ Inspect vehicles for any damage and immediately report issues to the parking supervisor.
+ Maintain an organized log sheet and ensure accuracy in all valet-related documentation.
+ Demonstrate respect, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all customer and team interactions.
Required
+ Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Preferred
+ High school diploma or equivalent
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Act 31 Mandated Reporter Training within 90 days of hire or transfer
+ Driver's License
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
