OPPORTUNITY: We are a Mill manufacturing operation seeking candidates to join our Production Department, as a Service Crew, starting at $28.40. We offer outstanding opportunities for our employees to advance their careers through on the job training and job progression. These are skilled trade positions where our employees build successful careers in the Printing & Packaging industry.  

MISSION / SUMMARY:

Employees in this classification are required to fill any temporary vacancy, of which they are capable, in the Mill area or other areas as assigned. Employee must function at high levels of quality and efficiency while maintaining the highest standard of safety.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following .

• May be assigned to various jobs for training purposes at any time.
• Maintain supplies to the paper machine and housekeeping of the manufacturing areas.
• Performs duties of a labor nature in the Mill area or other areas as assigned.
• Diligently practices good safety and housekeeping techniques in accordance with the Shop Rules, Safety Rules and Safety Absolutes.
• Must be able to use various programs for our production and shipping systems.
• Other duties as assigned.  

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

• Manufacturing and or Mill experience strongly preferred.

  EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

• Must be able to read and interpret information sheets.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS

• Follows mode schedule for plant, rotating shifts (Southern Swing) and be punctual while doing so.
• Expected to cover vacancy for absent peers and work overtime.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standing for extended periods.
• Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices
• Moving or lifting of equipment, materials, and tools up to 50 lbs repeatedly for a 8 hr. shift.
• Climbing extension ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or movement within Confined areas.
• Work in buildings and areas of fluctuating temperature and weather.
