Description

The specific role of this position is responding cyber security alerts from a variety of systems throughout the enterprise.

Typical Day

Daily work on a SOC responding to cyber security alerts and events. The team is responsible for 24x7x365 monitoring and response to security events that occur in the environment.

Responsibilities include

• Monitor SIEM for security events
• Investigate alerts with various Security tools
• Take necessary steps to remediate any security issues
• Monitor the Phishing inbox, investigate and respond to all reported emails
• Attend daily security update meetings
• Investigate network alerts through the IDS tool
• Ensure accurate case notes are recorded

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years working in IT (Information Technology) Security
• At least 2 years of experience on a help desk, or position troubleshooting Windows OS
• Proven documentation skills
• Proven skill and experience in problem solving
• Proven ability to learn quickly

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with EDR solutions
• Batch scripting experience
• Experience investigating and responding to reported phishing emails
• Understanding of Windows Authentication protocols, Explicit Proxy, IDS, EDR, UEBA, and Sandboxing

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
